Team Wren’s

It is now widely acknowledged that high-quality teaching from well-qualified nursery staff improves outcomes for children and young people. The Wren’s Nursery staff team are well qualified, experienced and long-standing.

Amy Evans, Nursery Manager, has worked in the nursery since 2003. Amy holds Qualified Teacher Status and Early Years Professional Status in addition to being a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader.  Amy holds further qualifications to support her roles SENDCo, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Paediatric First Aider and Internet Safety. Amy has two children, Katie and Will.

Claire Pitcher, Deputy Manager, has been with our team since 2012 after gaining her CACHE Level 3 Award, Certificate and Diploma in Child Care and Education. Claire has also previously worked with children as a Nanny prior to having her own three children Owen, Ryan and Maisie. Claire is also trained in Paediatric First Aid.

Kat Frampton rejoined the setting in January 2026 having previously worked with us for six years. Kat has worked in Early years since 2011 and holds Level 3 qualifications in Childcare and Special Educational Needs. Kat has a wide range of experience within the sector and also holds Paediatric First aid and a range of training relating to SEND. Kat has two children Holly and Charlie. 

Justine Gawen joined the setting in September 2023 after running a preschool in Somerset. Justine holds Qualified Teacher Status and Early Years Professional Status. She is also trained in Paediatric First Aid. Justine has two children, Elijah and Poppy. 

Hannah Lawrence has worked with us as a student in the Nursery since 2012. Hannah is qualified as a Level 2 Practitioner, has undertaken Paediatric First Aid and the Role of the SENDCo. Hannah has a daughter called Ella. 

Josie Herbert has been with us since September 2016 and has also gained her Level 3 qualification. Josie has undertaken a course in Paediatric First Aid. Josie is mother to Niamh and Fred.

Jess Hardie joined our team in March 2022. Jess holds a Level 2 qualification and is Paediatric First Aid trained. 

Gracie O'Brien joined the setting in September 2023 and has gained her Level 2 qualification. Gracie is now working towards her Level 3 qualification at Wrens, is Paediatric First Aid trained and L3 Safeguarding trained. 

All staff members are dedicated to improving their knowledge, qualifications and practice, regularly attending a wide range of childcare courses.
